The man got dressed, and grabbed the ring. He dropped it immediately. The man used a pencil to pick up the ring, and put it in a clear plastic bag.
As he walked through the house, he held the bag with his finger tips away from his body.
When the man got to the store, he started to put the ring in with the other jewelry, but stopped. He put the bag and ring on the counter, took a black marker, and wrote, "$5," on the bag.
After while a man said, "Why so cheap?"
"I've had it too long."
