Phil's reports of death continued from the Pacific, and the days turned hot.
Katherina opened a letter one day, and after reading it, set it on the table next to Phil. Margreth and Phil read the letter together, but some of the words were cut out.
One day Wilhiem sat near the radio, very quietly listening to the reports of destruction. He didn't seem to completely understand what had happened. A few days later, more reports of destruction.
About a week later, Phil gave reports from a place called Times Square. This caught the clocks attention. Time was her subject.
