When Margreth told a story her mind was transported to the scene of the tale, and she became oblivious of her surroundings. Many times, like this one, after coming out of a daydream, Margreth was quiet and introspective.
The room remained uncomfortably silent.
If Phil didn't do something she would be sad all day.
Phil wanted to know where das klavier was now.
The clock didn't know.
Phil steered the conversation toward big band music. Margreth knew he wanted to take her mind off the original Margreth, and was grateful.
Philco knew how to bring her out of her funk.
