Pre-Call (Socks LXXXI)

Dad hugged Mom, “I knew you would pretty soon.”
“I’m still mad.”
“I knew that too.”
“How?”
“You haven’t used your daughter’s name for a week.”
“Why did she believe Sarah?”
“We should have explained the first time.”
“Everyone should know that I wouldn’t steal.”
“I agree. I’ll leave so you can call.”
Dad walked into the bedroom and came out with the trophy, ”I’ll carry this in the golf cart.“
“Why?”
“I beat Fred by two pins for this. He buys the beer today.” Dad headed for the door.
Mom punched buttons on the cordless, and left the room.
