Formal Talks (Socks LXXIX)

“Looks like I ended up on the floor that time.”
“You have relieved us of that tiresome trophy at the very least, lads,” said the book.
“I like when you talk formal,” said the coin.
“Explain yourself, Nick.”
“Sometimes you talk formal.”
“I do not believe my speech is in a formal manor.”
There was a pause while all the objects looked one to another, then all burst into laughter. Dick laughed so hard he snorted.
“Listen Dad, the noise is back.”
Dad looked around, still holding the trophy.
After about a minute he said, “I don’t hear a thing.”
