"The Trash?"
"Keep your voice down, he'll hear."
"Ok, ok. What is The Trash?"
"It's a barrel with a lid that gets Taken Away."
"So what?"
"I went there once, but I was rescued just before being Taken Away."
"Where do you go when your Taken Away?"
Sunbeam didn't speak right away. Then, "Into Nothingness."
"What are you guys talking about out there?"
"Nothing."
Lar was scared, "I'm going to miss Spaulding."
"How well do you know Spaulding?"
"That's not the point."
"I heard someone whisper my name."
No one said a word.
From the bench a screwdriver was watching.
