Margreth wished that she would get back to the wall, any wall, so her pendulum would swing again. This was not as bad as when she was stuck in the suitcase, but it was close. Her concept of time was way off. She knew that people went to bed, whatever that meant, and that ended one day. She counted to herself.
"Elsebeth wrapped me up, then told Opa it was time for bed. That was one day."
She had to think hard, "Did the strange, loud noises last for one, two, or three days?"
There was a knock, "Room service."
